SCHOOLS AND SPECIAL EDUCATION
In addition to providing music therapy activities that work toward developmental milestones, HHMT works with each facilities curriculum to reinforce skills taught in the classroom.
HHMT is now a Gardiner Scholarship Provider and is currently accepting new individual client requests!
Music therapy sessions in contained ESE classrooms or inclusive classrooms are facilitated with an increased emphasis on development-based skills including eye contact, language processing, communication skills, sensory stimulation, and following directions.
HHMT works with school systems, preK through 12, to develop cognitive/academic skills and social/emotional skills. Through singing, drumming, instrument playing, music listening, and age-appropriate music games students are given the opportunity to increase group cohesion, emotional regulation, and self-confidence.
